FACTORY new door cover policy! Dance club now always $5 cover!*
We love our patrons and you've spoken and we hear you! We love bringing bands to FACTORY, but the costs of doing so -vs- our patrons needing a less expensive night out to dance their asses off has led us to a new door cover policy!
From this weekend (July 25th) and on the front half of the club and dance floor will be a $5 cover every night* for 21yoa+.
For bands or special events we have in either of the other two rooms there will be an extra cover charged at the door, so only those wanting to see the show will have to pay the upcharge for it.
*The only excpetion will be if there is a pricey guest DJ

SEABOUND follow up
Thanks to everyone who came out to SEABOUND and DE/VISION last night. People came from all over, we saw friends from Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville and Tallahassee. What an amazing night! All the bands had the audience on their feet and moving. We took over 331 after the show and got the dance floor going with a guest spot by DJ NEMESIS from Tampa. Special thanks to 331 for letting us have the night, and to Jackrabbits for working with us to make it happen, and Hungry Howie's on University Blvd for feeding the bands!

9th and Main has closed
Unfortunately 9th and Main has closed. Though this venue was ideal for us in many ways, the current state of the economy, the road construction and the gross mismanagement the venue has suffered for the past year have left it deep in debt which has all finally caught up with it and forced it to close. We deeply regret this and despite all of our best efforts and the deep passion of our staff to make the venue work, this end result was inevitable and no one is more disappointed than we are at FACTORY. We hope to return to 9th & Main with another promotion in the future, however, as this is the nature of club life we always plan for such a contingency and are working with another venue to move our Saturday night promotion to within the next month. Until then club TSI in Downtown Jax has kindly offered us a temporary move to their Sunday nights until we resettle. We thank them for giving us a place to continue our night and we thank you for your patience and patronage in this time of transition. We look forward to seeing you out over the next few Sunday nights at TSI. Also we are doing a new Thursday night at Cafe 331 through Dec! See the flyers on our main page for detais. Keep and eye on this site for the most current updates!

MAN & MACHINES cancel Jax CD release party
We are sorry to anyone who came out Saturday night expecting the MAN AND MACHINES CD release party at FACTORY. After months of advertising and promotion for this show that the band requested from us and agreed to do. They abruptly canceled on us because we did not promptly reply to a MySpace message they sent us - despite us asking they only e-mail us directly - requesting hotel rooms that were not in the original agreement. This is not the first time the band has canceled on us, but we are no less disappointed in their decision to leave us, their sponsor SPARKS, and most of all our patrons shaking our collective heads over their unfortunate decision to cancel the show they had agreed to so above and beyond their extra added requests.
